Renewal of Vows
Many couples choose a special wedding anniversary or birthday to renew their vows. Your renewal of vows can take place surrounded by family and friends, or be an intimate ceremony between the two of you. 
 
A renewal of vows is an affirmation of the love that you share and a chance for both of you to reaffirm your commitment to the relationship and to each other.
 
My role is to work with you to create a ceremony that celebrates the journey that you have travelled together and reaffirms your commitment to your future as a couple. My aim is to work closely with you to develop a ceremony which accurately reflects your lives together and the special nature of the bond that you share.

Some people choose to include elements of their original marriage ceremony in their Vow Renewal.  You might even choose to involve your original bridal party or your children to participate in this recognition and celebration of your relationship.  

Commitment Ceremonies
Commitment Ceremonies are a public affirmation of a couples’ love and commitment to each other. A commitment ceremony is not a legally binding contract under Australian law. Instead it is an expression of your commitment to each other and your desire to be partners in life.

Content of the Commitment Ceremony:

• Introduction – Guests are welcomed and I will share with them a little bit about the special features of your relationship and, if you wish, a few words about love and commitment in general.

• Vows – This is your public declaration of your intention to be a committed couple and an opportunity to make promises to each other.

• Readings or Music – A special poem or quote, a piece of music, or something you have written yourselves. The readings and music should be in keeping with the tone of the ceremony and help to make the ceremony more meaningful for you.

• Exchange of rings – The couple exchanges rings and make statements to each other about the meaning of these rings.

• Declaration – I announce to your guests that you are now life partners.
